Group Touring Project Site

Brandon Miller with White-Spunner Construction hosted a tour April 6th for the AGC-USA Student Chapter of White-Spunner’s Rec-Center Project on the Campus of the University of South Alabama.

Miller pointed out several interesting features of the 117,000 square foot building including the elliptical structural design of the roofing system which created a construction challenge. Another challenge was that the entire project was built around five existing 100 year old trees. Miller said it had been a challenge to protect both the limbs and roots during the entire construction process.
