Congress to Vote on Transportation Bill This Week
Tell your Members of Congress to Support Passage
The conference committee tasked with finalizing a long-term highway & transit bill has released the final bill, known as the Fixing America's Surface Transportation (FAST) Act. The bill provides roughly $300 billion for federal transportation programs over the next 5 years.
The FAST Act will be voted on tomorrow the House and could be voted on in the Senate as soon as tomorrow night. The final bill will not be ready for the president's signature by the expiration of the current extension on Dec. 4, which will require yet another very short-term extension until Dec. 9. This will be the final extension and the FAST Act will be signed into law early next week.
Please contact your members of Congress and tell them to support passage of the final long-term highway & transit bill.
