The Birmingham Section started 2015 with a political reception at the Murray Building Co. jobsite at the old Merita Bread Bakery. More than 150 members were in attendance with city and state officials. Everyone enjoyed a tour of the site as well as barbecue from Joe McNabb and Hendrix Chevrolet.

BACKGROUND: Brasfield & Gorrie has subcontracting opportunities available for three projects in Fort Benning, Columbus, and Warner Robins, Georgia. 

The Columbus State Ledger project in Columbus, Georgia, includes a 125,000 sq ft renovation of an existing building at Columbus State University. Brasfield & Gorrie is seeking qualified minority-owned and historically underutilized businesses for this project. Subcontracting opportunities are available in all trades.

The Building 3240 Trainee Barracks upgrade project in Fort Benning, Georgia, includes a 220,000 sq ft design-build renovation of an existing trainee barracks building. Brasfield & Gorrie is seeking qualified small, disadvantaged, veteran-owned, service-disabled veteran-owned, woman-owned, and HubZone firms for this project. Subcontracting opportunities are available in masonry, carpentry, building insulation, finishes and specialties.

The Warner Robins DISA mechanical/electrical upgrades project in Warner Robins, Georgia, includes upgrading capacity of a 100,000 sq ft data center.
