The Birmingham Section started 2015 with a political reception at the Murray Building Co. jobsite at the old Merita Bread Bakery. More than 150 members were in attendance with city and state officials. Everyone enjoyed a tour of the site as well as barbecue from Joe McNabb and Hendrix Chevrolet.

2015 Work Zone Safety Survey Results
Forty-six percent of highway contractors reported that motor vehicles had crashed into their construction work zones during the past year, according to the results of a new highway work zone study conducted by the Associated General Contractors of America. Alabama Struck By Alliance 
The Alabama Struck By Alliance (of which AlabamaAGC is a member)
performed many activities to call attention to the 
2015 National Work Zone Awareness Week . 
 
A total of 50 different activities were performed by 25 individual 
members of the Alliance.  The activities carried the message 
of "Expect the Unexpected" to more than 22,000 persons in 
Alabama and those passing through.  
The outreach activities were carried out before, during 
and after the actual dates of the designated week of March 23-27.
