The newly formed Human Resources Forum of the Alabama AGC has announced its first Lunch & Learn event scheduled for Thursday, June 4 from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Henry T. Hagood, Jr. Conference Center of the Alabama AGC Building in Irondale.
This meeting is open to all AGC members and guests, and is ideal for those serving in human resource and/or office administration roles, particularly those working with health care benefit options for employees.
This meeting will focus on compliance and adherence to the current regulations and guidelines of the Affordable Care Act as well as an overview of potential corporate strategies companies can consider while complying with the Act, yet offering cost-efficient and competitive health care benefits.
The facilitators for this meeting are Ms. Andrea Bailey Powers and Mr. Blake Hamby. Ms Powers is a Partner for Baker Donelson with over 22 years experience as a dedicated ERISA/employee benefits attorney. Mr. Hamby serves as Vice President of Human Capital Practice for Willis. Both Powers and Hamby spend much of their time advising clients and helping employers address compliance issues and options in a practical manner as they relate to the Affordable Care Act.
