The Birmingham Section started 2015 with a political reception at the Murray Building Co. jobsite at the old Merita Bread Bakery. More than 150 members were in attendance with city and state officials. Everyone enjoyed a tour of the site as well as barbecue from Joe McNabb and Hendrix Chevrolet.

June is "Heat Illness Awareness" Month

June has again been designated by OSHA as “Heat Illness Awareness”   month.

AlabamaAGC and CompTrustAGC are strong supporters of OSHA’s campaign to educate employees on the dangers of heat illness and how to look for warning signs in fellow employees.

In Alabama, we know this time of year can be especially brutal on construction employees.

Please take some time to educate your employees on the dangers of working outdoors and the precautions which can save their lives.

Below is valuable training information for you to use, along with a form to fill out and send back to our office letting us know that you participated and how many employees were trained.

We appreciate your help  reminding employees of simple precautions that can save their lives.
