ALDOT Announces DBE Goal Consultation Meeting

In compliance with the Federal Regulations, 49 CFR Part 26, the Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) is in the process of developing a 3-year Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) program goal (FFYs 2016 – FY 2018) for construction related projects. A public consultation meeting is being held to provide disadvantaged businesses and other business enterprises, public agencies and interested individuals an opportunity to offer comments. The date, time and locations of the meeting is included in the attached advertisement.

The purpose of the meeting is to receive input regarding ALDOT’s 3-year DBE Goal. We invite you to participate in a meeting to discuss the proposed goal, as well as the availability of potential DBEs at ALDOT, the effects of discrimination on opportunities for DBEs, and ALDOT’s effort to increase DBE participation.

We sincerely hope that you or your representative will attend this meeting to assist ALDOT in our ongoing efforts to implement an effective DBE program.
