Don Jones, AGC Services president, has retired after 22 years with the company and Jeff Rodgers, former vice president of Alabama AGC, has been named president of AGC Services effective immediately.
Jones, who began his career with CompTrustAGC as a safety consultant in 1993, rose through the ranks, became president of AGC Services and oversaw phenomenal growth in the premier workers compensation fund in Alabama.
CompTrustAGC is the only workers compensation fund in Alabama with an AM Best rating, making it the lowest risk in the market. With more than $40 million in members equity, CompTrustAG provides the security contractors need to be profitable.
“Don did a wonderful job for us during his tenure here,” said Alabama AGC CEO Billy Norrell. “His experience and talent provided the leadership and vision that allowed CompTrustAGC to become the powerhouse that it is.”
Don and his wife Bonnie are planning to enjoy playing with the dogs and doing some gardening.
Rodgers brings extensive experience to his new post, having worked as an insurance agent for seven years and for eight years before that working with insurance underwriters and agents for a specialty contractor. He joined Alabama AGC three years ago.
“It is an honor to have the opportunity to work with such a great company and the wonderful people who make CompTrustAGC what it is,” Rodgers said. “This is an exciting time and I think our members and the industry are going to appreciate the changes coming this fall for CompTrustAGC.
“A combination of customer service, new products and our long-term dedication to providing the best product in its class will offer contractors solutions the likes of which they have not seen before.”
“Jeff is a perfect fit for the fund and we are excited about the future as we grow CompTrustAGC into the risk management leader in our industry,” Norrell said.
