Join Alabama AGC and the Alabama Struck By Alliance for a Safety Stand Down

Join Alabama AGC, CompTRUST AGC, and the Alabama Struck By Alliance for a Safety Stand Down on Work Zone Safety April 11-15, 2016.  This year's theme is "Don't be THAT Driver."    Help us make our work zones safer on streets, highways, and bridges by joining us in the Stand Down.

Distracted driving is often the contributing factor in most work zone accidents, and is a topic all members can learn from.  Attached is a form and power point presentation to be used for your weekly toolbox safety talk that week.

In honor of this stand down, Alabama AGC will be hosting a number of events this week focused on Work Zone Safety:

On Monday, April 11, the North Section of Alabama AGC will host a free Safety Stand Down from 8 am - 11 am at its office in Madison.

On Wednesday, April 13, the Shoals Section will host its monthly member meeting focused on this week's Stand Down and the work Alabama AGC is doing with the Alabama Struck-By Alliance.

On Friday, April 15, the Central Section will host a Basic Work Zone Safety Training Class at the Homebuilders Association of Alabama from 8 am - 1 pm.  This class is available at greatly reduced rates for CompTRUST and AGC members.

Throughout this week, Safety Plus, will offer Alabama AGC members free access to on-line work zone safety training.  Interested members should contact Safety Plus directly at (251) 661-7650.

In addition, AGC is conducting a National Work Zone Awareness Survey.  We appreciate your input in this short survey.  The deadline to complete is Friday, April 15.  To participate, please visit: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/2016AGCWorkZoneAwareness

Alabama AGC encourages all of its members to participate in this week's stand down by hosting its own safety talks and participating in one of its events.
