The Birmingham Section started 2015 with a political reception at the Murray Building Co. jobsite at the old Merita Bread Bakery. More than 150 members were in attendance with city and state officials. Everyone enjoyed a tour of the site as well as barbecue from Joe McNabb and Hendrix Chevrolet.

AGC's Commentary on the AIA A201 General Conditions Contract Document

Based on the recent NCLC presentation (attached) and positive feedback from it, I wanted to personally send a copy of AGC's Commentary on the AIA A201 General Conditions Document. This is a free members-only resources that is also available for download here, www.agc.org/contract<http://www.agc.org/contract>.  The link will house any future updates. The current edition is already 37 pages with the Appendix.

AGCA held a two-part webinar series on the topic that is available for sale here, https://store.agc.org/Store/Store/StoreLayouts/Item_Detail.aspx?iProductCode=WB466&CATEGORY=LMS and https://store.agc.org/Store/Store/StoreLayouts/Item_Detail.aspx?iProductCode=WB463&CATEGORY=LMS

Also, I am forwarding a short article that I wrote on the topic for AGC Georgia, "The AIA A201 Gets a Failing Grade"

If you need any assistance on additional materials, locating speakers for a presentation on the AIA A201 2017(and comparing the AIA A201 2017 edition to the latest changes by the AGC endorsed ConsensusDocs), I am more than happy to assist.

Onwards and Upwards,
