THIS YEAR'S SAFE DAY HAS EXPANDED! Safe Day 2017 will open with safety seminars beginning at 8:00am. The Annual Safest in the Industry Awards will be recognized during lunch and the day will conclude with the OSHA Stand Down Workshop.
Safe Day helps bring safety awareness to the forefront of the construction industry. In the spirit of growing the event, Alabama AGC, ABC of Alabama, and the Subcontractors Association of Alabama have partnered together with members of the the state's 3 largest trade associations dedicated to non-residential construction will be in attendance. It is a known fact that this event not only recognizes excellence in safety, but that it also saves lives. There are no secrets in safety, and we believe this partnership will only enhance the event and highlight the excellent strides the construction
industry has made in safety.

To ensure that companies are evaluated along side companies of like size and to encourage more participation from ABC member companies, there will be two categories of entry for contractors this year. The categories are based on 2015 annual revenue. Each company entering the Safest in the Industry Awards must select the ONE category they best fit into. While the Safest in the Industry Awards should be used as a tool to help improve your safety and health programs, we hope the new categories will encourage small and mid-sized contractors to enter without feeling like they cannot compete against the larger companies. This year an Eagle Award will be awarded in all three categories of entry!
- Contractor Category 1: $0-$10million
- Contractor Category 2: $10- over$250million
- Other Category 3: Other (Engineer, Supplier, Etc.)
