Alabama AGC hosts NAWIC during Women In Construction Week

On Monday, March 6th Alabama AGC hosted the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) at our monthly meeting in honor of Women in Construction Week.

NAWIC seeks to enhance the success of women in the construction industry and also seeks to promote cooperation, fellowship and a better understanding among members of the association. They encourage women to pursue and establish their careers in the construction industry, provide them with an awareness of the legislative process and legislation as it relates to the construction industry.

The focus of WIC Week is to highlight women as a visible component of the construction industry. It is also a time for local chapters to give back to their communities. WIC Week also provides an occasion for NAWIC’s thousands of members across the country to raise awareness of the opportunities available for women in the construction industry and to emphasize the growing role of women in the industry.
