Worlds of Opportunity Career Expo

September 18 - September 19

On behalf of the Worlds of Construction & Safety, I would like to invite you to participate in the 10th   Annual “Worlds of Opportunity Career Expo” as an exhibitor/sponsor for the “World of Construction & Safety”.

Over 8,000 Eighth grade students, teachers, school administrators, parents, industry leaders and volunteers from our eight county workforce development region which includes Baldwin, Clarke, Conecuh, Escambia, Mobile, Monroe, and Washington Counties  are expected  to attend September 18th & 19th   2019 for the

10th Annual “Worlds of Opportunity” Career Expo at the Civic Center in Mobile.
The purpose of the Expo is to create awareness about career options among students and educators. This program is the first step in an organized plan of selecting a career and beginning career preparation as these students begin their journey towards graduation.

A  project of the Southwest Alabama Workforce Development Council (SAWDC-Alabama Works), this expo  is a fun, educational, hands-on opportunity for students to become familiar with a broad overview of careers that will be available in our region upon graduation:  Energy, Construction & Safety, Architecture and Engineering, Shipbuilding & Repair, Aerospace, Manufacturing, Auto Technology, Public Service, Hospitality, and Health Care.

This event is crucial to influencing the workforce of tomorrow, by educating students on the vast availability of careers in the Southwest Alabama region.

I hope that you will consider participating with a hands-on exhibit and/or a financial sponsorship in the Worlds of Construction & Safety.
